ANNUAL FAMILY CAMP
Each year our scouting organization plans a family camping trip that includes our Cub Scout Pack 546, Scouting America Troop 546 Boys, Scouting America Troop 546 Girls and the Venturing Crew 546.

The success of our Scouts is dependent upon adult volunteers.  We need parents/adults to help insure our scouting program is safe and robust.  We rely on many different skills to operate our Units.  For example, every scouting meeting, activity or camping trips, we must maintain two-deep leadership, if not more, to be adequately supervised.  Below are the three main areas that we need assistance, please consider how you can participate and help the Scouts:

  • Assistant Scoutmaster
Work directly with the scouts and attends meetings, activities and camping trips.  Will be assigned a patrol and work with those scouts to encourage and guide them through their ranks.
  • Committee Member
Works in the committee that operates and guides our Troops.  Must attend a monthly meeting and will have responsibilities outside of the monthly meeting.
  • Special Tasks & Projects
Throughout the year we will ask for assistance from parents.  Requests may include transportation to and from a camping trip, coordinating a special task or project, working at an event, or a variety of other tasks.  Please consider helping when we send out those requests.

The scouting program is amazing, and teaches our youth leadership, responsibilities, and how to live by the Scout Oath & Law.  As adults, we have the privilege of observing our scouts successes and challenges, and we watch them grow.

The key to a successful Troop is the parents/adults who step-up and help.  If everyone helps in the way that they can, then our Scouts will grow and prosper from this support.  Please consider how you can be part of our scouting organization.
